Answer: According
to the Finish Definition, when the Codd's Cradle bow
crossed the line, he finished. Rule
28.1 underscores this point with the words:
.....
"After
finishing, a boat need not cross the
finishing line completely."
.....
However
if Codd's Cradle had continued on port, he might
well have fouled No Such Luck before clearing the finish line. Since Codd's
Cradle is still racing and
thus subject to the rules of Part 2 until he "finishes and clears the finishing line and
marks ..." In which
case Codd's Cradle would have had to do a 720 and
cross the finish line once more to get his revised finish position.
