49. Weakley Meeting is sailing on a port-tack dead run when Boom Bop, sailing on starboard tack, rapidly begins to overtake Weakley in a puff from dead astern.  To make matters worse, Weakley Meeting then loses the wind completely. Boom Bop luffs up to try to avoid Weakley Meeting, but just kisses Weakley’s rear end (so to speak). Both boats lodged valid protests: WM cited rule 12: "overtaking boat keep clear", while BB protested under rule 10.
