Rocket Roy Riddell is back at
the helm of Cripple Creek Ferry, making a
come-back after 20 years of cruising Georgian Bay in big boats. After a
slow start, he is getting the feel of things again and begins to pass Hot-Ruddered Bum to windward on the first
reach. The latter luffs but seconds later, CCF's
helm calls "Mast Abeam" because he is abeam of HRB's mast. The latter refuses to stop luffing
and the Rocket says he would protest if it didn't cut into his beer time so
seriously. Would he have won such a protest?
