Sailing History: Started sailing in Chichester harbour near Portsmouth in a leaky GP14 in 1974. Really got going when arrived in IOM in 1990. Only owned Wayfarers ('cos I always wanted one….), first a MK 1 1408 Snuff and now a MK2 8322 Fait Accompli which is raced mercilessly.  Instructor then Senior Instructor now Chief Instructor Dinghies at the IOMYC (still not sure how THAT happened).  Also owns Popard a Westerly 22' which is being raced and cruised.
Sailing History: Crewing for various Wayfarer owners, got together with John some years ago. Lots of experience with small boats (and larger ones) due to work…see below.
When not sailing: Works as an Electronics Engineer growing Industrial diamonds, and has gone seriously native, participating in Manx Traditional music and dancing with the Perree Bane Group.
TT race Marshal during the 2 weeks in June.

When not sailing: work: Marine Biologist, working in various parts of the World, used to grow seaweed in the Isle of Man for supermarkets, worked out of the the Marine Biological Station in Port Erin and now runs his own Marine Survey Company.
other: Renovating a lovely house on the hill overlooking Port St Mary Bay, bringing up the family.
