Hi Al,

Just 'dawned' on me that WIC is now 40 years, and SWS 45 years coming AUG.

The Thames photos by Don Davis were taken in celebration of forming the WIC the day before at the AGM of the UKWA in Baden Powell House on Cromwell Rd.

Our cruise then, 1973, down the Thames from Putney at Westend, under all the bridges of London and the Tower Bridge being the final one, whereafter we turned to front the Thames' outflow and  landed by 'The Traitor's Gate' of the Tower of London Castle to climb the sea-wall and wait for the tide to turn, while entertaining the *Beef-eater* guards and having a look around at the Castle.

On our way to the Castle's Entrance we had met three lads having visited the PUB, and the middle guy spread his arms to stop the too 'wingmen' saying quite loud in benefit of the sidewalk-audience: "By Golly boys if it's going to be the kind of weather this gang has dressed fore, we better start running home fast!"  ....

Best regards, Ken t.o.
